Independent surveys

Damp Expert offer a range of independent surveys covering damp and timber related problems. We work with a network of highly experienced, qualified surveyors in various locations throughout the country.

One of the problems in using specialist contractors to carry out a survey is that they have an interest in the outcome. Not unreasonably they are hoping it will lead to an instruction to carry out the necessary remedial work. This can sometimes leave a doubt in your mind as to whether the advice provided is correct.

Our survey fees start at £169.00 plus vat, dependent on the location, type and size of the property.

Once you have contacted us we will ask for the information we require in order for us to provide a firm quotation for the survey.

If you would like us to proceed with the survey we will require payment of the agreed fee.

We will instruct one of our team of independent surveyors to contact you to make a suitable appointment. From that point the surveyor will liaise with you directly.

Following the survey, the appointed surveyor will write a report and forward it to you. We will ask the surveyor to send a copy to ourselves. If you have any questions relating to the survey then you can contact the surveyor directly or contact us if you prefer.

Seven days following the issue of the surveyor’s report we will make payment to the surveyor. If there is any reason why you think we should withhold payment then you should contact us within that time period. Payment will be made to the surveyor promptly unless there is a compelling reason why this should not be the case.
